I'm so excited about the supplies I got today for the new pieces!!!

Our wool is a happy wool, did you know? It's raised here in Portugal, little lambs all over the country. We produce it with love and I love going to the cozy shops with the huge wooden shelves loaded with hanks, where the ladies and the gentleman (he's alone amongst them) treat us like family.

I got all sorts of things (woohoo!) and am going to make different, unique pieces to enhance your best features! I love creating especially for you, you know - the personalizing process  is thrilling. Creating the best shape for you, with the materials you love the most and the quality I demand, in coulours and techniques that make you shine even brighter! Check out the last pieces I created - Statement Necklaces for the Winter Season. What are statement pieces? They are those which don't go unnoticed when you wear them, being so special and looking so good on you.

You know, I'm curious about something for a while now - Where are you reading me from? Is it near Portugal? Is it accross the globe? How is life like, there where you live? A nossa lã é uma lã feliz, sabiam? É criada aqui em Portugal, carneirinhos pelo país fora. Produzimo-la com amor e eu adoro ir às lojas acolhedoras com estantes enormes, carregadas de meadas e novelos, onde as senhoras e o senhor (é só um, no meio delas todas) nos tratam como se fosse família.

Eu adoro criar especialmente para si, sabia - o processo de personalizar uma peça é emocionante. Grey Knit Capelet with hooks or claps

This cape is knit in a wool with mohair, incredibly soft and light. It's warm and elegant. A feminine knit piece, very sexy, with a touch of mystery. (it reminds me of a cartoon character from when I was a child - Milady in Dartacão.)

This capelet can be worn indoors or inside your jacket. Outside of the jacket it looks lovely too.

But that's not all yet! I love creating versatile pieces, so the hooks or clasps allow this piece to become a cowl, a scarf, a shawl, a cape with hood...everything your imagination tells you.

The metal hooks look like delicate jewels, feminine details amongst the marvelous curls of this really soft yarn.

A história da colecção Vinhas ❅ Colares de Outono.

Estávamos em Agosto e a minha mãe virou-se para mim a pedir uma peça das minhas, para o seu aniversário (que é quando já faz frio).
Ora, eu andava nessa altura entre p

iscinas e ondas salgadas, não me apetecia nada tricotar. As minhas peças são quase todas tricotadas porque é a minha técnica favorita e a que me parece mais rica ou prolífica se quiserem.

Por outro lado, a minha mãe detesta ter coisas ao pescoço!! Ora aí está um desafio - uma mãe a pedir uma peça minha porque as adora...mas não as usaria.

Na altura larguei-me a rir, claro. Foi contagiante e acabámos as duas a rir. Vim para casa, ainda com o Kit Praia no carro, a pensar no calorão que fazia e agarrei-me às agulhas de crochet que herdei da minha avó materna :) Ela é a minha inspiração diária. A vovó só usava agulhas que pareciam peças de ourivesaria...e isso não me facilitou nada a vida porque eu gosto de lãs grossas.

(adoro as colchas que ela me fez naquele algodão assustadoramente fino mas são mesmo marca registada dela e não minha).

Arranjei agulhas bem fofas (assim estilo, de 15 para cima!! Hahaha! Ela teria dito - que exagero!!- se ainda pudesse dizer coisas...) e pus-me a lembrar tudo o que ela me ensinou, desde que eu tinha 5 anos.

Foi esta avó que me ensinou a escrever e ler...e as propriedades curativas da argila e outros que tais! :D
Ela tinha um colégio onde também era professora e pensou que eu devia ir para a escola já ensinada...coisas dela. Afinal foi muito bom porque eu acabei por decorar rios e serras mais facilmente que os outros! Ah, pois é! Viva a vovó Maria das Neves.

Então lá fui eu pela Memory Lane, com gargalhadas e lágrimazitas pelo meio, de saudades. Ela faleceu há 13 anos, já...

Pus-me a experimentar pontos atrás de pontos; a solo, seguidos, em filas, em colunas, de todas as hipóteses esquizofrénicas de que me lembrei. Cheguei a este, que a minha outra avó ainda na Primavera me tinha repetido e eu tinha achado fofo e lindo! Com muito potencial.

Confirmou-se! Tem imenso potencial e não só na versão que vemos mais frequentemente (podem vê-la na Gola ❅ Vinhas que eu fiz depois, quando começou a ficar mais fresco).

As fotos foram tiradas num dos jardins mais bonitos que a mãe natureza já criou através de mão humana. ...mas essa é uma história para outro dia :)

Este que vêem na foto é o Colar de Outono preferido da minha mãe. Ela ficou extática quando os viu...e nem precisei dizer-lhe que estas eram as peças que eu fiz a pensar nela. A reacção disse tudo ❤
Adoro a minha mãe, sabiam? ❤ ai bolas...eu sou mesmo lamechas e as lágrimas teimam em aparecer nestes momentos palermas. Bom! Não percam os próximos episódios...porque nós também não!! :D

Ode to Knitting!

Hi! I've been wrapped up in knitting projects for a few weeks, now and today I felt like coming here and write a bit. 

It started with the Pottery ❅Colection and the purse Cauldron ❅ and I'm going on!

This week something happened that made me renew the love for knitting ❤ When I started ❅meNENices❅ , I had the intention of making everything knitted. Meanwhile, people started asking me to teach crochet and I beggined crochet projects very naturally. 

The thing is...I feel knitting has a richess and profoundness that you can't find in crochet or macramé, for instance. They are all very interesting, but the challenge I love the most is in knitting :)

I always felt crochet is for beginers (maybe because I started that way, at the age of 5, since it was easier for me, then), the real deal is knitting. :) I started knitting one year after that and I've been passioned about it ever since. I appologize to all crocheters in the world! :) See it this way, maybe you would say something similar about knitting :))) I know crochet saved some of your lives

I'm making an Ode to Knitting! I'm celebrating the challenge and the joy it brings us.

It gives us fluffier pieces, delicate stitches and a million ways to knit them, lots of potencial in the needles - there are so many of them!! Yay!!!

Um dia destes fiquei a pensar que se o menino  ❅ meNENices ❅ tem um moustache, eu também quero!!

Portanto, fiz um em crochet para mim, que me levou a criar outros. Já andava com esta ideia do moustache desde o Verão...estou a pô-la em prática agora. Este é o primeiro - a pregadeira. Mais virão :)) e não só em crochet!

One of these days I was thinking that if our logo - menino ❅ meNENices ❅ - has grown a moustache, I wanted one for myself too!! Therefore I crocheted one for me, which led me to create others. I've been thinking about moustaches since the Summer...so I'm grabbing the idea now. This is the first one - the broche. Others will come :)) and not only in crochet!
